Fallow deer

 
Hunting season for Fallow Deer in Hungary begins on the 1st of October and the stag can be hunted until the 31st of December it is, however, possible to hunt shootable Stags in January.
 
The excitement of hunting and shooting Fallow deer is highest during the rut in October. In Hungary the rut begins by the end of September and ends throughout October- the rut is at is highest around the 10th-20th October. The rut season differs between the districts. The stags gathers and the does come to “visit” them at the rutting stands. Stalking the perfect stag can be a difficult task because of the many deer and other stags, which often will be within the same small area. The hunt on Fallow Deer can take pace from horse carriage for those hunters who prefer it.
